Brazilian National Park of Iguassu. Founded in 1939, was designated a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1986.
Your first encounter with the largest rain forest of Southern Brazil takes place at the park’s Visitors’ Center which allows you an insight into the local eco-system.
Continuing down the Cataratas Highway you cross the subtropical rain forest, which benefits from the added humidity in the proximity of the fall, creating an environment rich in vegetation and fauna.
The Brazilian park offers a superb panoramic view of the immense cascade and gives also one of the best views of the most spectacular section of the falls.

Above the impact of 13,000 cubic meters of water per second upon basalt rock hovers constantly a huge rainbow-spanned cloud of spray. A catwalk, reached by a winding foot trail and an elevator, will give you more intimate views.
Iguassu falls are the greatest waterfalls in the world, situated on the borders of Brazil, Argentina, and Paraguay in South America. The falls consist of 275 cascades spread nearly 2 miles including the famous 'Devil's Throat'.
After lunch you will continue the tour with a visit to Itaipu Dam.
